Kampong at Arab is located smack in the middle of the Kampong Glam district, one of the last few remaining historic conservation sites in Singapore. Traditionally a Malay enclave, treat yourself to a plethora of Malay heritage and cultural landmarks, such as the Malay Heritage Centre and the Masjid Sultan Mosque. Situated along Arab St, adjacent to Haji Lane, this spot is the ultimate hipster’s paradise. Colourful streets are littered with hipster cafes, and stores come alive once the sun sets. Bars all around contribute to the teeming nightlife, making this one of the most attractive tourist spots you can find.
Sitting on the ground floor is a separate F&B venture aptly named Dual. Serving a binary function as the name suggests, Dual is a cafe by day, bar by night concept. Open to public, Dual offers a discount to Kampong’s guests.
And if the cafe experience isn’t what you had in mind, fret not. Singapore, lauded as being a food hub, does not disappoint when it comes to satiating your appetite. Eateries are located on pretty much every corner you can find, with some serving food round the clock. Scroll through for some of our personal recommendations, from local to international food in the vicinity, you’ll never go hungry!
